Rheometer (or Rheology) Studies:

Using a TA Instrument AR1000, we are pleased to be able to offer rheometer measurements.  Our cone is stainless steel, with a certified cone angle of 2^o 1' 55'' (flat).  The instrument specifications are as follows:

Torque range: 0.1 microNm to 100 mNm

Frequency range: 0.1 mHz to 100 Hz (0.628 mrad/sec to 628 mrad/sec)

Controlled stress angular velocity range: 10^-8 - 100 rad/sec

Controlled strain angular velocity range:  10^-2 - 100 rad/sec

Angular displacement resolution: 0.62 microrads

Sheer rate range: 10^-6 - 11,000 /sec

Minimum strain: 0.00006

Normal force range: 1 to 5,000 g

Temperature range:  -10 to 99^oC

Ramp rate: 20^oC/min

Internal resolution of Pt100: 0.016^oC

Please note that we have not attempted all of these conditions.  Contact us about your specific project to see if we can perform the tests at the resolution that you need.

Sampling Services

Bleil Laboratories, Inc. would be glad to send out a specialist to take samples for you.  An additional fee will be applied for this service.

Sieve Services

Bleil Laboratories, Inc. is able to separate soil and other materials by size.  Sieve filter sizes include 3/8 (0.375 inches, 9.5 mm), 4 (0.187 in, 4.75 mm), 10 (0.0787 in, 2.00 mm), 20 (0.0331 in, 0.85 mm), 40 (0.00185 in, 0.425 mm), 60 (0.0098 in, 0.25 mm), 140 (0.0041 in, 0.108 mm), 200 (0.0029 in, 0.075 mm)

Water, air and Soil Quality

Sometimes, you just need to know the quality of your soil, water or air.  Bleil Laboratories, Inc. can test your soil or water for pH (is it too acidic, or not acidic enough?), clarity, contaminants, and more.  We can even test your air for airborne pollutants.
